A Strength and Conditioning Specialist by trade who has been working in professional soccer and sports his entire career (LA Galaxy, Orange County SC). His mission now is to work with local athletes to help them achieve their goals applying the same methods gained in the trenches of pro sports performance culture.
A local of Huntington Beach now, Johnny holds a Masters Degree in Sports Performance and Rehabilitation. He began his career at EXOS in LA and P3 Sports Science in Santa Barbara, learning and developing under some of best trainers and scientists in the game. At EXOS, Johnny worked with the NFL and NBA Combine Programs, MLB Spring Offseason and assisted the LA Galaxy while at P3, He learned how science and technology was used in the gym.
Soon after, Johnny was hired full time by the LA Galaxy and was the Head of Strength and Conditioning for LA Galaxy II and the LA Galaxy Academy (U-14, U17, U19). His job was to develop and rehab all of the Galaxy players coming through the system with the Academy, LA Galaxy II and Galaxy First Team.
Johnny's style is built on a system that takes all elements of athletic performance training like speed, power, movement skills and unconventional methods like foot strength and nervous system training and moves you through progressions and regressions of exercises based on your level. Through the training, Johnny teaches you how to move efficiently and challenge the systems in your body that produce faster and more explosive movements. In Johnny's mind, this is an art.
Prior to Coaching, Johnny played professional soccer for the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and was an All-American at Westmont College.
